A conspiracy is underway in a bid to encourage and develop separatism in the country under the guise of the Government’s 100-day programme, Western Provincial Council member Udaya Gammanpila asserted.

The observation was made at pro-Mahinda Rajapaksa rally which is being held in Nugegoda at the moment.

Gammanpila also accused the Government of turning a blind eye on an incident in which a group of army soldiers were being shot while on patrolling duty somewhere in Vavuniya district on 5 February, what he explains as new twists in the reorganization process of the left over LTTE elements.
